Wings & Waves Waterpark splashes down in McMinnville

Evergreen's Aviation & Space Museum campus has a brand new attraction. They're famous for the Spruce Goose airplane. Now visitors can jump out of another big bird — a 747 parked on the roof — and onto a maze of water slides.

Head on down to Champoeg State Heritage Area. There's lots of history; there's lots of scenery, too. See it, miles of it, from the saddle of your bicycle.

A hike, and a visit with an endangered species

Combine a love for science, an appreciation for the wonders of Mother Earth and some pleasant invigorating exercise. Hike in Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge, and, while you're there, keep an open for the endangered Fender's blue butterfly.
